# CAPTCHA solving for AI agents

> Three ways to let an AI agent solve captchas with Solvecha: a remote MCP server, the browser extension in the agent's browser, or the REST API from tool code.

AI agents that browse the web meet captchas. Solvecha gives them three ways to get past image challenges. Pick the one that fits the agent.

## Which way should I use?

| Browser extension | does nothing. The extension reads the challenge, asks the API and clicks the tiles. | You control the browser, for example with Playwright, CDP or a stealth browser such as [CloakBrowser](https://solvecha.com/docs/cloakbrowser.md). |
| MCP server | calls a tool with a screenshot and clicks the tiles itself. | The agent uses its own browser tool and you cannot load an extension. |
| REST API | runs your tool code. | You build your own agent with a framework. |

## What you need

1. A Solvecha API key. [Register](https://solvecha.com/register) and copy the key from the dashboard. The key starts with `slv_`.
2. 100 free successful solves per day. After that, pay per use at $0.10 per 1,000 successful solves, or pick a monthly plan. See [Plans and billing](https://solvecha.com/docs/plans-and-billing.md).

Failed solves cost nothing. Every way uses the same key, the same rate limits and the same balance.

## What an agent can solve

reCAPTCHA v2 image challenges (3x3, 4x4 and single tiles), text captchas, GeeTest sliders and FunCAPTCHA. Solvecha returns the answer for the pictures you send. It does not return finished reCAPTCHA tokens. See [captcha types](https://solvecha.com/captcha-types).
